Polish air carrier EuroLOT, which is owned by the Polish state treasury and LOT Polish Airlines, has signed an agreement with Poland’s Defence Ministry to lease out Embraer 175 aircraft for the use of government members, heads of state and entourage. The agreement is valid until 2013.
The two craft leased by the government include a passenger version similar to normal chartered aircraft and one for head of state and top government officials, which will be fitted out with a lounge and office facilities. The planes will replace Soviet-built craft such as the TU154, which crashed in Smolensk, Russia in April, killing all 96 on board, including the Polish president. |
