Our client is a major provider of leasing and asset finance. They are seeking an individual of the highest calibre to be responsible for leading their risk underwriting teams to ensure consistent delivery against targets, developing the teams and building a unified risk team across multiple locations in the UK.  
You will be a key member of the UK risk team, with shared responsibility and accountability for the direction of the business, the strategy and achievement of business goals. 
The role reports to the Chief Credit Officer and manages a multi-site team based in the South West and North West.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring quality of leasing transaction underwriting, analysis, recommendations, presentations and approvals.
• Coaching & developing of individuals and teams.
• Developing and implementing clear action plans in response to improvements identified.
• Assisting in the strategic and financial planning.

Key Skills:

• Proven risk management experience within small ticket flow, structured and large ticket lease or loan underwriting.
• Ability to lead a team successfully across multiple sites, and with differing levels of complexity.
• An understanding of operating within the dynamics of a large organisation.
• 2:1 or better degree ideally within finance, economics, accounting or related quantitative discipline. Relevant experience will also be considered.
• A strong presence, with the ability to establish strong partnerships at senior level and the ability to influence key stakeholders internally and externally.
• Proven ability to drive growth by developing creative customer centric solutions.
• Inspiring style of presentation.
• The ability to communicate difficult and complex messages with clarity.
• Knowledge of local regulatory requirements.
