Our client, a highly successful finance group, is seeking experienced commercial credit analysts to join it's growing team. These roles offer excellent opportunities for career development.
This key role will report into one of the department’s Credit Managers with the successful candidate responsible for managing aspects of risk associated with a portfolio of motor dealers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring reviews are carried out and kept up to date on a regular basis in line with Santander corporate standards.
• Handling and underwriting new business propositions within the Wholesale Risk department by undertaking appropriate P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow analysis of dealerships/dealership groups; extending stocking lines and limits accordingly or making appropriate lending recommendations to appropriate authority levels including Credit Committees, the Board of Directors and the parent company.
• Negotiating improved terms and/or structures to proposals helping the company to achieve its new business targets.
• Providing ongoing advice and support to external field sales force on understanding of financial statements.
• Ongoing management of the administration of securities including legal charges over properties, debentures, cash deposits, bank guarantees and personal securities.
• Undertake reviews of the portfolio providing written reports, observations, recommendation or otherwise to senior management.

Key Skills: 

• Ideally you will be an experienced credit analyst from within either motor dealer finance or a vendor finance.
• The ability to make sound and rounded judgements about the strengths and futures of businesses is essential as is the ability to write incisive and balanced credit reports addressing all aspects of a proposal.
• Self motivated with a desire to succeed.
• A high level of accuracy.
• Decent all round ability with Microsoft Office applications.
• A decisive and inquisitive manner.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Organised.
• Experience of motor finance or a similar vendor finance environment.
