£65-70k plus benefits package This is an exciting and challenging role which will suit an experienced ABL professional with a desire to progress your career Risk and New Business Underwriting. You will have a broad knowledge of deal structuring and the aspects of collateral/financial risk assessment associated with ABL facilities (including receivables, stock, plant & machinery and proprety). Previous experience in the ABL sector in New Business Underwriting and/or Portfolio Management is esential, with the ability to bring strong technical analysis and influencing skills to complement and enhance existing skill sets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake formal review and analysis of new business proposals with a focus on identification and mitigation of risk issues.
- Undertake review of survey, valuation, financial and legal due diligence reports resulting in the preparation of objective Underwriting and Exit Analysis reports.
- Attend survey and other pre-lend due diligence meetings can be expected to form part of this process.
- Other requirements include the participation in Credits Committee discussions under a delegated authority and to provide support to the Risk function as required.
Essential Skills:
- You will have a detailed understanding and knowledge of all aspects of deal structuring with a particular focus upon ABL, together with an in-depth appreciation of business dynamics and operation.
- You will have a good working knowledge of the legal requirements and formalities pertaining to ABL and the financing facilities offered by the organisation.
- An aptitude for analytical work and an ability to quickly identify potential risks and provide appropriate mitigation strategies in line with the company Business Development effort and Credit Guidelines is essential.
- You will have exhibited flexibility in your current role, working to tight deadlines.
