My  Client  is the global leader in auction sales and valuations of used industrial Machinery & Equipment, Inventory and Accounts Receivables. The Valuation Services business which covers the valuation of Machinery & Equipment, Inventory and Accounts Receivables has grown significantly over the last 5-years. The growth has been driven by the increase in Asset Based Lending in the UK and abroad.

You will be part of the UK Valuation Services Team, where you will undertake due diligence accounts receivable and inventory reviews / surveys and cyclic field audits of companies across a wide range of industries on behalf of Invoice Finance and Asset Based Lenders. Reviews will be carried out in both the UK and Europe with deal sizes ranging from £1m to £250m.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel where you will make site visits throughout the UK and occasionally within Europe to carry out in-depth analysis of companies’ accounts receivable ledgers, accounts payable ledgers, taxes, bank facilities, inventory and procedures to ensure suitability for lending or compliance with a new or existing invoice discounting and/or inventory financing agreement and identify any areas of concern.
  • Prepare and submit detailed survey/audit reports on findings with recommendations for action where appropriate.
  • Assist the inventory valuation team to complete detailed inventory appraisal reports.

Key Skills:

  • You will have a good understanding of undertaking accounts receivable and inventory audits / surveys.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, in particular Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • A team player that can act under pressure and meet deadlines and is self-motivated.
  • A flexible and positive attitude.
  • A high level of communication and social skills.
  • Knowledge of Inventory funding is desirable as you will assist the inventory valuation team on inventory appraisals, however willingness to learn is essential as training will be given to cover all aspects of inventory appraisals including Retention of Title, Slow Moving, Exit Costs and analysis of inventory mix.
  • Ability and enthusiasm to regularly travel throughout the UK and occasionally within Europe.
  • A second European language is an advantage but not essential.
  • Applicant should be willing and able to work alone as well as part of a team.
