The Risk Analyst role is part of the existing Vendor Flow Risk Team within Siemens Financial Services (SFS). The role is a varied and demanding role, requiring you to use your analytical skills to determine whether finance can be provided to the end customer. It will involve risk assessing new and existing business applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and collate appropriate information to make a credit decision.  Compile system based and/or written reports on applications for submission to higher level authoritities.  Keep appropriate records relating to information received and decisions made.

• Liaise with internal personnel to gain extra/appropriate information or to discuss applications where necessary.  Provide regular information on application statuses and work load.

• Liaise with external personnel to obtain information relevant to credit decisions.  Where necessary discuss and agree ways to structure applications that will make the application acceptable to SFS.

• Prepare applications for Rating in accordance with Group Credit Policy, if appropriate perform rating within own rating authority.

• Participate in departmental and business tasks as required (incl. regular reviews, reporting and projects).

• Actively contribute suggestions and influence improvements in relation to the wider Vendor Flow Risk team and working practices.

• Research and make appropriate suggestions for policy changes.

• Ensure compliance with Siemens Group Policies, Group Risk Policy, Country Risk Policy and all legal and regulatory requirements.

• Monitor own and team performance against set targets and Staff Dialogue.

• Prepare Vendor Approvals and Reviews in accordance with the SFS Introducer Approval Process.  Including compiling system based and/or written reports for submission to higher level authorities.  Keep appropriate records relating to information received and decisions made.

Key Skills: 

• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Understanding of financial statements and principles of lending.
• Strong communication, negotiation & conflict resolution skills.
• Experience in a risk environment working as an underwriter is essential.
• Strong decision making ability.
• A background within Asset Finance is desirable.
