The Manager of Documentation is responsible to oversee the tactical direction for Documentation activities within the Canon brand national finance originations platform. Key position responsibilities include providing: leadership, guidance, management, documentation expertise, monitoring, mentoring, motivating, budgeting, training career pathing opportunities and proper resource allocation. The position is responsible to manage a team of several Documentation Channel Supervisors. The Documentation area is responsible to approve finance contractual documentation, execute term and condition modifications, conducts contract set-ups, executes the contract booking process, initiates the funding process and provides extraordinary Customer Service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees the tactical direction and execution of the Documentation function.
- Leads and facilitates best in class customer service.
- Provides leadership, guidance, management and technical expertise for Supervisors and their respective teams.
- Monitoring, mentoring, motivating, creating career development plans for all Department Associates.
- Builds and maintains working relationships with CUSA, CBS and Independent Dealer Management.
- Responsible to ensure all financial contracts are properly and accurately booked and funded into our Operating system.
- Ensures that Documentation, Contract Booking and Funding quality goals are achieved and maintained.
- Demonstrates superior documentation analysis skills.
- Reviews, analyzes and executes financial contract term and conditions modifications within sound, reasonable, prudent and accepted risk tolerances.
- Participates in SOX Documentation, Contract Booking and Funding audits and executes appropriate remediation plans with direction.
- Negotiates documentation term and condition modifications with customers, Dealers and outside counsel.
- Actively champions operating systems enhancements.
- Ensures that all Documentation Procedures are documented and Associates are in compliance.
- Ensures that appropriate training materials are established, certified, maintained and used during the Documentation training process.
- Special projects as required.

Key Skills:
- Requires a bachelor's degree.
- 7 years of financial service experience to include minimum of five years of management experience.
- Five years of Documentation and Contract Management (booking or fundings or auditing) experience.

- Strong communication and presentation skills – written and verbal.
