Our client a leading national asset financier (not a broker) requires a specialist to develop the above sectors across Scotland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Your role will be strongly new business centric and you will be expected to quickly build a pipeline of business from your own efforts rather than inheriting customers.
- Our clients typically sells out at c14% IRR so you must be able to sell at higher rates and typically most business written is below £250,000.
- You will be expected to drive business from a variety of sources such as direct dealers / manufacturers and to achieve reasonable targets on a consistent basis.
Key Skills:
- You must be a real new business hunter who has a client following & live contacts in one or more of the above sectors and have a strong demonstrable record of success (P60’s to prove income will be welcomed).
- Ideally you will be known as a specialist and have personally credibility with the sector(s).
- You must be driven to need a high personal income and must not be someone who is used to being fed business from a parent bank or someone who balks at asking a customer to pay 14% + IRR.
- You should also be able to sell value added services such as insurance ideally with every deal and you must be someone who will get in their car to close a £40,000 deal at 5.00pm on wet Friday in Inverness with a customer, to incentivise you to do this you get commission on each and every deal.
You can be located anywhere in Scotland provided you are willing to travel across the country to do the job.
Package
Base salary is geared towards paying for performance but £35,000 is available for the right person potentially even to c£40,000 for a true specialist with a proven record. Commission is paid monthly in arrears and is uncapped and payable from a zero pointy and on all deals.
This is an environment where the UK’s top earners to make very comfortably over £200,000 a year and typical average earnings are c£80,000.
