Our client a well established international lessor with an expanding presence in the IT finance sector are seeking to hire a technology sales manager to further develop two recently acquired programmes. 

One programme is with a leading software author and another with a leading IT manufacturer and in time take additional responsibility for other anticipated new programme wins.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Your role will be to build effective relationships with both the software author and the IT manufacturer and to further build upon relations with their resellers such that you will be able, in time, to generate total volumes of £10M a year at acceptable margins across your sales area of the Midlands & North.
  • You will further roll out each programme into the reseller community building engagement with sales staff, sales leaders and dealer principals to engender pro-active and early use of finance as the primary sales tool for the reseller to close sales.
  • You will be given access to sales pipelines to allow you to focus on immediate & real prospects and it is expected that you will have the skills to both structure & close transactions yourself as well as effectively training dealer sales staff to close less complex transactions.

Key Skills:

  • You will be home based so must be a self starter who is highly motivated & well organized.
  • You will need at least 5 years successful experience of IT finance of closing business to middle ticket levels, to deal sizes to c£1m+.
  • Critically you must understand how to work with & through channels to maximize the potential to write business but must also be able to structure & close business working at CIO, CEO, CFO level with customers.
  • You will have a well developed knowledge of various forms of finance, HP, Finance Lease & Operating Leasing and be able to structure bespoke transactions from a pricing & documentation & credit / security perspective.

You will cover a sales area from the Midlands North and could be based anywhere from the North Midlands to the North of England.

Package

Base salary range is to £45,000. A performance bonus which is partly quarterly paid and partly year end paid will typically add a further 15% to 20% to base salary. A generous car allowance is also provided as all usual large company benefits, life, health cover pension etc.
