Base salary to £50,000 + performance bonus + all usual large company benefits
Our client a leading international commercial vehicle financier seeks an interim Operations Director to lead a team of 10 staff controlling lease life cycle functions, customer services & systems development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, appraise, train, develop and motivate three teams:
- Sales Operations (sales quotations and contract generation) - Regular Terminations (maturing contracts and renewals) - Irregular Activity (insolvency, early termination, rescheduling and stocking plan)
- Coordinate timely creation, termination and reschedule of Headleases for contracts with undisclosed funders.
- Report operational activity both nationally and at group level at month-end and adhoc as requested.
- Review customer requests to amend Terms and Conditions from standard and agree, reject or negotiate a compromise for each clause based on legal and commercial perspectives.
- Lead UK an ongoing software upgrade project and support power users through the project phases including business blueprint, gap analysis, testing, migration, training and go-live.
- Support participants of other projects – roll-out of group-wide, streamlined and efficient business processes.
- Provide first line in technical support and troubleshooting for SAP CRM system.
- Liaise with IT in Europe on complex IT problems.
- Carry out Internal Control System Tests of Effectiveness.
- Source new and review existing suppliers of repossession-related services and negotiate favourable terms.
- Regularly review team activities and troubleshoot accordingly.
- Continually look at ways of improving working practices and achieving maximum efficiencies.
Key Skills:
- Candidates should have at least four years’ experience in the commercial vehicle leasing industry, preferably in a similar role.
- They should be confident, highly organised, efficient and capable of thinking on their feet.
- They must possess the determination and enthusiasm to face new challenges in a continuously evolving environment.
- They must be able to communicate well with a conscientious team and senior management.
- Experience with SAP and knowledge of commercial vehicle leasing would be most advantageous.
- Applicants should have a minimum of 5 GCSEs including Mathematics and English (or equivalent) at Grade C or above and be educated to at least A level (or equivalent) level.
- Proven leadership experience within a diverse environment is essential.
