Salary range to possibly high £60’s plus London Weighting Allowance

Our client a leading bank owned asset finance subsidiary seeks an additional Relationship Director to augment its highly successful London sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

• The position is to develop strategic relationships with customers whose turnover is over £25M across a broad range of verticals & selling a wide variety of on and off balance sheet solutions.
• 90% of your focus will be on developing additional business with either existing asset finance customers or with bank customers who are not yet asset finance customers.
• Targets will be the usual blend of volume, margin, fee income but think in the order of £25M+ a year of originations dependent upon what you inherit.

Key Skills: 

• You will have at least 5 years of finance & leasing sales experience selling to mid & large corporate customers and must be easily commutable to the City of London and be able to work across all parts of London inside the M25.
• Ideal candidates will have a bank based asset finance background and will have a demonstrable record of winning new business and be able to demonstrate the ability to sell at board level and to a variety of contacts at a customer EG, finance, tax, treasury, purchasing etc.
• You will have gravitas and presence and be able to command the respect, buy in and active support of your bank colleagues on the basis that you can add genuine value & broaden existing relationships.
• You must also have strong credit appraisal, analysis & report writing skills and a genuine depth of commercial awareness, documentation, structuring & pricing skills.
• Effective sales & relationship building skills in abundance are of course a pre-requisite but a lack of these fundamental core skills above will not enable you thrive & survive in this environment.
• You must also be an individual who has a strategic long term view and be someone who ideally has experienced first hand some of the pain of the last 2/3 years and can demonstrate what you have learned as a consequence of your experience. 

Package

Salary range to possibly high £60’s plus London Weighting Allowance. Bonus potential is anticipated to be worth £20-30,000 providing genuine potential to earn £80-£100,000.  All usual bank based benefits apply and of course superb career potential exists for ambitious high achievers.
