Base salary range to £35-40,000 plus a performance bonus that will allow further earnings to c20% of base salary
Our client seeks two Business Development Managers to augment its existing national team.
One vacancy is to manage the Manchester / Cheshire area working with HGV dealers located from Preston to Widnes. The other vacancy is responsible for developing dealers from North Yorkshire to South of Immigham.
The role is to promote and sell contract hire and asset Finance business, from the development and retention of strong relationships with dealer sales staff and corporate customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- To build quality relationships and establish our client as the customer’s first choice finance partner.
- To negotiate with customers over specific deals, and aim to deliver what is ‘right’ for the customers.
- To assist, wherever possible, dealer Sales staff within allocated region by providing a high quality service.
- To work in tandem with Managers of other key roles and depts.
- To seek to influence and develop the overall business opportunities and actively review and revise tactics should overall business performance be threatened.
- To work as part of the overall sales team to deliver both individual and team business targets.
- To provide information, maintain records and carry out all duties in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.
- To undertake such other tasks as may reasonably be required.
- To enhance the image and reputation of the company whilst supporting it’s commercial interests.
- To comply with all statutory requirements, company policies, Health & Safety and standard procedures.
- To achieve objectives within agreed budgets.
Key Skills:
- Ideally 3 years sales experience in a Commercial Vehicle Financial environment (a captive or potentially a bank asset financier with a focus on HGV finance).
- Dealer or retail experience.
- Presentation & negotiation skills with senior executives.
- Customer & dealer focus.
- Commercial aptitude.
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
- Effective interpersonal Skills.
- Systems knowledge.
- Ability to manage complex problems.
- Ability to work with the minimum of supervision.
You will be located on the relevant sales area for the particular position.
Package
Base salary range to £35-40,000 plus a performance bonus that will allow further earnings to c20% of base salary.
Excellent earning potential exists from selling GAP insurance where you will personally retain 20% of the insurance premium commission paid to our client on business generated by you.
All usual large companies are provided including a company car, life, pension and health cover.
