Salary and London Weighting will take fixed income to c£65,000
This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing, vibrant, experienced and supportive team offering vanilla and highly structured finance products to corporate clients. The Corporate Asset Finance (CAF) business is the structured asset finance arm of our bank clients business.
CAF’s Objectives:
- To work with the Bank’s Major Corporate (FTSE100/250) relationship managers to identify and capitalize on customer requirements for middle ticket and large ticket asset finance solutions.
- To develop appropriate manufacturer relationships where first class business can be written and the banks franchise extended.
Transactions vary in size and structural complexity. Customers are predominantly UK based but transactions have been concluded on the continent and in the USA and the CAF teams will consider finance for a variety of equipment. CAF has the ability through its Equipment Management team to take Residual Value Risk for a large variety of assets.
This position has a focus on working with the banks many financing partners syndicating the banks exposure both deal by deal to these partners using a variety of products (receivables, novation etc) usually disclosed and also looking to syndicate the banks existing own book portfolio. Where appropriate the role also involves buying from funding partners, this though being a more embryonic part of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing new relationships or enhancing existing relationships (with the banks funding partners).
- Achieving new business targets and objectives.
- Monitoring and tracking market developments and pricing.
- Actively participating in the development of business strategy.
- Developing new business proposals.
- Working with key partners to bring new products and initiatives to market.
- Providing periodic training for Relationship Managers on CAF products and markets.
- Raising the profile of the CAF business through internal and external marketing initiatives.
Key Skills:
- Knowledge of Corporate Markets and asset financing, syndication/distribution experience will be particularly value for this position.
- Great internal and external sales and project management skills.
- Strong numerical ability including detailed use of pricing tools to include Excel.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Good organisation skills.
- Strategic and environmental awareness.
Package Salary and London Weighting will take fixed income to c£65,000. Achievement of targets will lead to typically to a bonus of up to 50% of base salary. All usual bank based benefits are provided including company car or car allowance life cover, health cover, pension etc.
