Our client a leading bank owned corporate asset finance provider seeks an additional Director to further develop its engagement with the Oil & Gas sectors.

The CAF team focuses on a wide number of business sectors and specializes in the provision of big ticket asset and commodity finance solutions for the banking group.

The team utilises a variety of different products that includes finance and operating leases, synthetic leases, lease receivables purchase facilities, secured debt, payment undertaking guarantees and borrowing base facilities.

The CAF team’s primary objective is to deliver ancillary income to the bank through engaging with the Bank’s corporate and financial institution relationships and other intemediary organisations on a global basis.

This opportunity is for a senior member of the Oil & Gas/Heavy Industrial team to drive forward the Oil & Gas global proposition along an aggressive growth plan.

A willingness to also support and contribute to the wider Heavy Industrial sector activity will be important.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpreting, consolidating and delivering CAF’s Oil and Gas growth strategy through internal influencing of stakeholders and generating internal momentum.
• Setting and executing origination and customer strategy against Oil & Gas targets – liaising specifically with stakeholders nationally & internationally.
• Originating, advising customers and executing transactions, based on full understanding of key clients and regular interaction with key customers, and taking into consideration all products available.
• Contribute to managing the investment portfolio for closed business and aiding the distribution/secondary funding activity.
• Building customer relationships and reputation to enhance the profile of CAF within the banking group and to achieve first call status with customers considering asset finance solutions.
• As the business grows, leading, supervising and coaching the team, including attracting and hiring new personnel and setting targets and standards for team members.
• Developing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships to ensure that early engagement in transactions occurs.
• Contribute to setting and delivering origination budget and delivering the Oil and Gas business plan, working closely with CAF colleagues and specialists to ensure products are appropriately priced and executed.
• Supporting learning of others within CAF through exchange of product and market knowledge.

Key Skills:

• Demonstrated knowledge of the Oil & Gas asset finance market both from an offshore and onshore context.
• Proven ability to originate and successfully close big ticket asset finance transactions both on an indirect and direct basis; ability to develop and implement sales strategies and business plans while maximising efficiency and returns.
• Demonstrated track record of cross sell (especially with capital markets, derivatives and loans) and advisory roles.
• Established strong relationships Oil & Gas customers, intermediaries and industry influencers.
• In depth knowledge of the Oil & Gas sector and knowledge of general structured corporate finance and capital markets; plus proven technical expert within the sector able to consult to and develop the technical capabilities of a team.
• In depth and specialist knowledge of the accounting, compliance, regulatory and tax requirements affecting the business.
• Instinct for innovation with a highly proactive attitude in order to bring new solutions and value add to internal and external clients.
• Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively at all levels and across different audiences.
• Highly developed credit, documentation and risk skills.
• Orientation and demonstrable high levels of attention to detail, numeracy and accuracy.
• Recognised industry qualifications and professional memberships.

Package 

A high competitive base salary will be offered, to attract the best, together with a very generous bonus plan. A combination of base salary & bonus will provide the potential to achieve total annual earnings of up c£200,000.

All usual bank based benefits are also provided company car or car allowance, pension, life, health cover etc.
