Our client seeks an additional Senior Account Manager who has the potential to develop into a sales leader within c2 years, to be part of its German business unit and a wider pan European business unit. Your role will be to work closely with supply side Global Account Managers & Directors selling a wide range of IT solutions to global customers.
You will be expected to build engagement with the above facilitators and operate at senior level across multiple functions with customers meaning across the functions of: IT, Finance, Purchasing, Tax & Treasury as appropriate.
Your activity will lead to growth in finance both financing volumes and finance penetration levels and the achievement of volume, margin and return on equity targets.
Candidate Profile:
- Our client is flexible on your location but you should have reasonable access to any of the following major conurbations; Hamburg/Düsseldorf/Frankfurt/or Munich and you must be willing to travel across the whole of Germany to customers.
- You should be a native German speaker but also possess excellent English language skills.
- You should possess both the desire & potential to be able to promoted to a more senior leadership role within 2 years, so candidates with experience of coaching or mentoring staff or have experience of direct people leadership are particularly invited to apply.
Key Skills:
- Excellent IT asset finance sales track record (one that can be substantiated).
- An achiever demonstrating strategic selling competencies.
- Major account manager with either channel or captive experience (managing an indirect or direct vendor sales force).
- Experience in deal structuring and customising transaction offerings.
- Experience in selling the benefits of a full service package.
- Minimum 10-12 years leasing industry experience either with a recognised Bank / Financial Services company. Preference will also be given to candidates who have worked in a ‘captive’ environment.
- Understanding of Accounting guidelines and how they apply to the provision of leasing.
- Proactive, dedicated, driven and self motivated.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Strong English written, oral communication and negotiation skills.
- Good team player with the ability to prioritise, good presentations skills, computer literate, ability to listen, understands and problem solving.
- Self-starting, well organised with the ability to work independently.
- Strong credit and documentation knowledge.
- Ability to add value and innovate.
Package
On target earnings dependent on experience will range to c €150,000 with a 60/40 mix of base salary to variable. Earnings are totally uncapped and all normal large company benefits are also provided including a company car.
