salary range to £40,000 + 20% performance bonus + car allowance
Our client a leading head lessor seeks an additional Area Sales Manager to further develop dealer driven light commercial vehicle finance business across the North West of England.
You will inherit a number of supporting existing dealers and also be responsible for further developing these in additional to identifying, prospecting winning & developing new dealers.
Key Responsibilities:
- To achieve the designated revenue objectives set by the company.
- To maintain and build upon current relationships to maximise new business opportunities and the return on investment.
- To continually prospect and develop new business relationships to generate sales revenue and profits.
- To manage and maximise current dealer relationships. Ensuring business flow is maintained and finance penetration is in line or exceeds targets.
- Pro-actively identify and secure new business development opportunities in-line with a business plan.
- Undertake training of dealer staff on products and facilities.
- Undertake regular performance analysis using KPI’s and management information in order to produce a gap analysis and take remedial action, where necessary, to improve actual performance.
- Manage activities effectively to ensure that priority is given to the development of new business opportunities.
- Maintain a professional and entrepreneurial approach to selling to establish viable business proposals that take into account customer needs, with the aim of generating consultative selling strategies.
- Maintain regular contact with line management and the Dealer Accounts team and Key Accounts Team as appropriate.
- Maintain awareness of changing market conditions, communicating and reacting accordingly.
- Act upon potential “cross-selling opportunities” and liaise with relevant colleagues.
Key Skills:
- An in-depth knowledge and understanding of commercial finance, ideally with dealer driven experience of commercial vehicles but those with a direct asset finance background or those with dealer driven experience but of different assets are welcome to apply.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills and a positive pro-active approach.
- Strong negotiation skills to create win:win opportunities.
- An ability to operate remotely, independently and with initiative.
- Numerate with strong attention to detail.
Ideal location would be the Manchester area but our client is flexible on location providing you live on the sales area and can travel to fulfill the requirements of the role.
Package
Base salary range is to £40,000 with a performance bonus to a further 20% of base salary plus a generous car allowance. All usual large company benefits are all provided.
