Our client requires an Insurance Manager to be responsible to support the implementation and the execution of their insurance strategy across France, Spain & Italy to ensure that insurance activities and processes are developed and managed effectively and efficiently within the serviced area.

He/ she is the local key contact person to the external insurance partners, leads all local insurance activities and best practice, and drives in cooperation with the local sales teams the steering and monitoring of the insurance activities and achievements across the region. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execution of the local insurance strategy in alignment with insurance strategy, captive approach, policies, objectives and a holistic view in cooperation with the sales personnel of all business areas and the back-office.
  • Ensures the efficient and effective cooperation with all external insurance partners and vendors.
  • Ensures the effective & efficient execution of the internal insurance processes and delivers the tools and knowledge to facilitate this process.
  • Coordinates the sales strategy across the different business areas and is the single point of contact for local insurance activities.
  • Creates the local insurance budget in alignment with the leader of Insurance Europe.
  • Design with the service center the local opportunities for insurance products and identifies local product gaps.
  • Drive the implementation of new insurance products in cooperation with external partners and the leader of Insurance Europe.
  • Develop and steer information gathering and analysis to ensure the knowledge about products, competitors and prices regarding insurance offerings.
  • Drives the training and education of the local sales staff across business areas in insurance products, IT systems and sales techniques.
  • Execute control on the implementation of policies for insurance.
  • Organize and develop local best practice and best practice sharing.
  • Support the effectiveness, robustness and transparency of insurance processes and take initiative to improve.

Candidate Profile:

  • Fluent French speaker with advanced level of English (oral/written) , Italian & Spanish language skills useful but not a pre requisite.
  • University or equal degree preferred in Engineering, Business or Marketing.
  • Typically a minimum of  5 - 7 years of experience in sales/marketing of insurance products , this is a non negotiable requirement.
  • Thorough knowledge of the local insurance market.
  • Experience in working in an international environment.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of the commercial vehicle insurance market.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the commercial vehicle industry.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of insurance products and customers.
  • Ability to understand and implement context-specifically the European insurance strategy.
  • Target-driven, self-motivated and willing to take responsibility.
  • Result-oriented and driven by objectives, while building foundations for long term business relations.
  • Strong insurance selling skills.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills as well as holistic thinking.
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact and influence at all levels both internally and externally.
  • High standard of professionalism and operate with integrity.
  • High level of PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Power Point).
  • Advanced level of English (oral/written).

Package

Remuneration by negotiation but a highly competitive basic salary & bonus structure will be made available to attract the right calibre.
