Job Description : Our client is seeking a Financing Business Development Leader for their Europe, Middle East, Africa and India region to develop strong relationships with funding partners and work closely with the Energy and Industrial Financing sales teams. You will have an understanding of project finance and infrastructure transactions and be located within EMEAI – although UK, Germany and Switzerland locations are preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strong business and financial acumen to evaluate project opportunities
Work well within team environment; willing to share ideas and attain stretch targets
Support the sales team’s efforts on project development
Interact with key members of the Energy sales team to find opportunities and support their efforts
Develop strong relationships with global banking partners and the various global export and development banks
Develop long-term relationships with potential customers and partners.
Drive business opportunities through financial expertise.
Develop annual sales and marketing plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives.
Understanding of project finance and infrastructure transactions in Energy and Industrial Financing
Fluid in the understanding of global projects and how finance and traditional banking channels assist in project development
Overall knowledge of banking environment and various financial products
Manage key customer account relationships.
Research and understand all competitor product offerings.
Identify, assess and qualify new business opportunities
Develop relationships with potential customers and partners.
Seek out, target, and initiate contact with prospective customers.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or Business (an MBA would be advantageous).
A minimum of 10 years in marketing and sales in banking/financing environment.
Strong business and financial acumen.
Experience in a global captive vendor environment helpful.
Excellent communications skills; written, verbal and presentation.
Excellent sales and negotiating skills.
Willing to travel essential.
Multilingual capabilities.
Project Finance experience.
