Job Description : Our client is seeking a Risk Manager who will take overall responsibility of Risk Management for a captive equipment leasing business in Europe.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Productively interact with funding partners, other team members, sales staff, operations, finance and senior management.
Develop and maintain credit policies, procedures and underwriting practices to adhere to internal/external control standards and compliance requirements.
Establish strong working relationships with the customer base through a program of regular customer visits.
Underwrite customers for recourse and other credit enhancement obligations extended by the company.
Structure recourse and document recourse agreements, monitor recourse and evaluate the company's exposure.
Lead the Risk Team; develop their skill sets and maintain a high level of trust and integrity.
Play a role on special projects and periodically prepare key reports for senior management.
Demonstrate superior customer communication skills and the ability to solve/troubleshoot problems.
Analyse financial information including: basic financial statement information, attested financial statements, personal financial statements, individual and corporate tax returns, and cash flow statements.
Have intimate knowledge of external credit data provided by 3rd parties.
Continually work with multiple stakeholders to develop and improve the quality of credit submissions.
Remain informed about the legal, compliance and market-risk-related issues involved within the commercial credit markets.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Working knowledge of legal structure, credit law, bankruptcy/repossession processes and secured lending practices in numerous countries in Western Europe.
Understanding of basic trade credit analysis, ability to coordinate term credit activities with trade credit analysts.
Possess excellent presentation and communication skills, oral and written.
Fluent in English and at least one of the following languages: German, Spanish and French.
Ability to work in an informal, and less structured, team environment.
Possess a high level of integrity, honesty and trust.
Be familiar with standard Microsoft Office applications, generic lease/loan applications.
