Job Description : Our client is seeking a Risk Manager who will underwrite new business transactions within delegated authority levels and/or prepare recommendations for consideration by senior underwriting authorities.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Performing high quality and timely credit underwriting of new business transactions within delegated authority levels, with emphasis on large / complex transactions.
Performing high quality and timely analysis to produce customer/ group ratings and recommendations within delegated authority levels for submission to Lending Authority holders.
Conduct regular and timely reviews of existing customers/ groups/ vendors in accordance with group guidelines.
Providing appropriate advice to Sales teams to ensure that commercial opportunities are maximised without compromising effective risk management.
Providing ad hoc advice, guidance and assistance to the Sales team and other internal staff on general risk-related issues.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Extensive underwriting experience is essential in asset finance / leasing or banking industries, with particular emphasis on middle ticket business.
Sound knowledge of asset finance products, structures, pricing/time value of money and documentation.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of interpretation of financial statements for different types of legal entity, principles of lending and risk assessment.
Understand the P&L impact of quality underwriting decisions.
Negotiation and conflict resolution.
Analysis skills; planning and organising; able to prioritise.
Coaching and development.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
