Our client is seeking a Senior Commercial Analyst to provide analytical support to the Vendor Finance Europe commercial organisation and partner with the Chief Sales Officer to drive improvements in sales force and to deliver profitable growth for the business.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Responsible for gathering and analysing data as it relates to originations activity, pipeline tracking, sales representative productivity metrics and sale force effectiveness initiatives. Drive utilization of business intelligence tools to ensure that all the data captures are completed that might be used for prospecting or analysis. Develop key metrics to drive focus on growth. Deliver high value added financial information to the commercial / management team for strategic and commercial decision making. Maintain and improve current dashboard reporting and be able to link results to established metrics/targets to help the business run efficiently and effectively. Drive improved rigor around key processes such as forecasting. Play a lead role in preparing sales volume budgets by segment / country for all annual planning sessions and periodic forecasts. Responsible for quarterly management information including variance analysis of new business performance versus plan/forecast, sales representative productivity, country level analytics. Play an active part in establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with Senior Management, key stakeholders and provide advice to the business to ensure business targets are achieved. Support the business in the development of total sales compensation plans aligned to overall strategic objectives. Provide insightful analysis/ input to support tactical / strategic change e.g. input to business cases, review of new business opportunities, acquisitions and other special projects as stipulated by the needs of the business.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Qualified Accountant (ACMA preferred), and minimum of 5 years of financial work experience including developing forecasts & operating plans and participating in business / finance reviews. 3 years leasing industry experience preferably in the vendor finance arena. Advanced knowledge of Financial modelling (Excel), reporting systems and presentation tools (PowerPoint). Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers generate alternatives and drive positive change. Process oriented / problem solving skills: successfully led cross-functional projects/process improvement within finance/sales/marketing function involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas. Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels and functions. Able to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy to understand manner. Able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing. Confidence / Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions. Confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position. Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others.
