Finance provider Independent Growth Finance (IGF) has appointed Matt Shepherd as commercial director.
Shepherd will be responsible for expanding IGF’s customer base and increasing sales.
IGF has operated in the UK since 1997 and is aiming to increasing its share of the UK SME market.
Shepherd (pictured) has nearly 20 years of experience in the finance industry and has held senior positions including head of business development and client management for the ABL division of CYBG, along with business development roles for RBS Invoice Finance.
John Onslow, chief executive officer of IGF, said: “Matt’s experience in strengthening high performance teams is one of the reasons we brought him in. He delivers high quality solutions and has a wealth of leadership knowledge.”
Shepherd is set to work alongside Jon Hughes, senior director at IGF, who will focus on expansion in London, including the private equity and debt advisory sectors.
Shepherd said: "I’m looking forward to increasing IGF’s national presence and the continued growth of the sales team.”
