Specialist consulting and advisory firm Finativ has announced two new appointments as part of its continued growth into the motor finance sector. Mobility expert Simon Harris (pictured right) joins as consulting director, along with Peter Cottle (pictured left), a former chair of the Finance & Leasing Association’s Motor Division.
After nearly thirty years of operational automotive and captive financial services experience, including Lloyds Bank, Daimler and Allianz, Harris has spent the last five years in consultancy and advisory roles for a number of OEMs and financial services clients, as well as their technology providers. He is a recognised market expert on mobility as a service business models, including related solution architecture and the challenges faced by finance providers, having advised some of the most progressive asset financiers on their servitisation propositions.
Peter Cottle comes to Finativ from GrowCap where he was automotive sector practice leader. He has held commercial leadership roles in Lombard and Bank of Scotland with responsibility for a number of premium motor manufacturer and AM100 relationships. Cottle is actively engaged in the car-retailer and broker-introduced motor markets and has a strong understanding of the related commercial, operational and regulatory dynamics.
Formed from the merger of three niche specialist firms, Finativ is a focussed and dynamic advisory and consulting business, deploying the expertise of practitioners who have “walked in the shoes” of clients with relevant operational and functional experience in key strategic disciplines such as business development, M&A and technology.
CEO Christian Roelofs commented, “The motor finance market is undergoing unparalleled disruption. In Simon and Peter, we have a winning combination of experience, talent and a vision for the future to help our clients navigate their future path”.
