The Leasing Foundation has announced details of its second Innovation Initiative event, which follows the sell-out success of its inaugural breakfast meeting.

It will take place on May 22, 2019 at the offices of TLT, in London, and will look at enhancing the customer journey through open data, analytics and new technologies.

The theme is in response to recurring reports of obstacles facing SMEs when they attempt to access funding, as they are hampered by the restricted approach some traditional funders use, such as scorecards and credit scores.

Specialist and alternative lenders aim to differentiate each individual SME by understanding their own story and this is where technology can play a key role in lending decisions.

With a growing amount of business data available, finance companies can quickly understand everything they need to know about the status of each customer’s finances and then design a tailored funding journey that meets their unique needs.

The seminar is the latest in a four-part series and it will aim to provide thought leadership relating to innovation and change, while encouraging collaboration and networking to answer the most pressing questions facing industry leaders.
