John Bennett has joined Acquis Insurance Management as Corporate Advisor.

In this new role Bennett will be tasked with both market and product development for Acquis - with a focus on extending Acquis’ coverage outside the UK.

Acquis is seeking to further develop its business offering in Europe, and is planning a significant expansion of its international business over the next two years.

John Bennett, who will also continue to operate as an independent consultant under the JB Associates banner, added: “I have been impressed with the progress Acquis have made in the four and a bit years since they were established - and I am looking forward to working with an experienced management team who have ambitious growth plans.”    

Acquis Insurance Management is an independent, privately owned insurance broker and administrator. Its core business specialises in the provision of insurance programmes and management to the leasing and finance industry.

John Bennett has over 35 years’ experience in key sectors of the leasing and asset finance market – including big ticket, vendor, middle market, sales aid and operating leasing. He has previously held board level positions with UK leasing subsidiaries of RBS and Chase Manhattan Bank.

He was a board member of the UK’s Finance & Leasing Association between 2005 and 2010. He was also a board member of Leaseurope between 2004 and 2010 and chairman between 2007 and 2008. Following retirement Bennett assumed an interim role as managing director of Hitachi Capital Business Finance until October 2012.
