A major implementation of International Decision Systems’ (IDS) InfoLease and Rapport equipment finance systems has been awarded the 2014 Operations and Technology Excellence Award from the US Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA).

The award will be presented at ELFA’s forthcoming Operations and Technology Conference, Sept. 8-9 in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Operations and Technology Excellence Award recognizes companies which have demonstrated innovative uses of technology or creative business process improvement throughout the equipment leasing and finance industry.  The winning project outlined IDS’s role in helping a major banking customer’s equipment financing division successfully weave two separate small-ticket, high automation businesses onto a single IDS-based technology platform as its core large-ticket financing operations.

Katie Emmel, vice president of product management at IDS (pictured) said: “Our InfoLease and Rapport solutions provided the end-to-end origination and portfolio management functionality our customer needed to get its breadth of business lines up and running on one efficient technology platform in record time.

“This project required a tremendous effort for all involved, and its success provides a clear blueprint for others to follow in how to consolidate multiple business platforms, reduce risk across an entire enterprise, and improve process efficiency.  IDS is honored to receive industry recognition for this considerable achievement in partnership with our client.”
