This year’s Annual Leasing Industry Great British Pub Quiz was held in London’s The Counting House which was built in 1893 as Prescott's Bank, and the foundations of which rest partly on the north sleeper wall of a 2,000 year old Roman basilica.
The evening was again a tremendous success providing guests with an excellent opportunity to compete head to head with industry peers and to network in a relaxed atmosphere.
The quiz has become a fun alternative to the networking opportunities provided by seminars, conferences and other formal industry gatherings.
The quiz consisted of nine teams of six (54 guests) – representing a range of leasing and asset finance companies. Each team had a self-appointed team leader with each team member represented by a coloured sash bearing the company name – with team captains wearing bowler hats and captain armbands.
Lesley-Anne Brewis, the resident quiz expert on BBC’s The Code acted as quizmistress and winners received a New Leaf Search – Leasing Industry Great British Pub Quiz 2017 - Engraved Glass Award, with each player also bagging a large bottle of Laurent Perrier Rose, a New Leaf Search Cross pen and a Winners Certificate.
In contrast, the losing team was awarded an engraved Wooden Spoon Trophy, a wooden spoon each and a Pub Quiz book to share between them (to help prep for next year!)

Richard Driver of DLL Group, the winning team captain said: “The Leasing Industry Pub Quiz, organised New Leaf Search, is something we look forward to every year as it gives us the opportunity to meet up with colleagues in the leasing industry for a fun and enjoyable evening.
“The Quiz is always well organised, with a very professional quizmaster and the venue, food and drink are excellent!
“This year’s quiz was particularly enjoyable for us as our team from DLL Group (the Dutch Masterpieces) managed to pip ABN (Dutch Courage) to first place so it really was a case of Double Dutch!”
As a result of continued success – this event is now a firm fixture in the annual leasing calendar - and next year’s event will be at a date yet to be settled in May 2018.
