great british pub quiz 2019

Macquarie Corporate & Asset Finance have retained their title at the eighth annual Leasing Industry Great British Pub Quiz, hosted by New Leaf Search.

The event saw nine teams battle for honours at The Counting House in London.

Quizmaster Ben Eagle, part of the team that writes quiz content for TV shows including The Code, Child Genius and Only Connect, put nearly 60 guests through their paces, with the winners receiving an engraved glass award, bottle of champagne, pen and certificate.

The team in last place received an engraved wooden spoon trophy and a pub quiz book to help improve their performance next year.

After securing the title for a second consecutive year, Macquarie Corporate & Asset Finance team captain Garry Pearce, the company’s head of credit, said: “It remains one of the highlights of the calendar for me and the team where we know a good night will be had by all.

Winning for a second year in a row was a great bonus and we are hoping to achieve the hat-trick next year.

“It was a really well-run event and the trophies are sitting proudly at the entrance to our office with space to add more.”

Other teams taking part this year came from InterBay Asset Finance, DLL Group, Hampshire Trust Bank, ABN Amro Asset Based Finance, Bank of London & The Middle East, PEAC Finance, Siemens Financial Services and Societe Generale Equipment Finance.
